I use a lot of rick rack so I'm thrilled to be able to buy it on a spool instead of individual packages. This is my fourth purchase and I have learned to inspect the length I'm going to use before I sew it because every once in a while there is some machine oil on it that has to be washed off with dishwashing soap. Otherwise though the braid stats consistent and I've been pleased with the product.
This rick rack has a satin appearance to it, which makes it nicer than the flat matte cotton, but be careful and examine the length you are using before you begin to sew. Some areas may be stretched out and look for black grease/ink marks. These can be removed with dishwashing soap and scrubbing, but that does take time away from your project.
